Mite! TGB game-in-a-day; full script source included

All mites start off as juveniles (green). They are unable to mate until they mature and turn red.
Two red mites who bump into each other will mate and produce offspring, at a cost (often fatal) to the health of the parents.
You start off with a given number of juvenile mites, who must be nurtured if they are to survive to breeding age.
Mites eat dust particles (the grey balls). To send a hungry mite to a dust particle, first click on the mite. It will turn yellow to show it's selected. Then click the destination you wish to send it to.
In a similar fashion you can direct red mites to breed.
Mites left to their own devices will wander around randomly, eating and breeding as they collide with others.
The early stages are hard! See the strategy guide in the accompanying readme.
The obligatory screenie is attached, although it's really not easy to see what's happening until it's moving and there are a few surprises I didn't want to put in the screenshot!
The code's commented and should be understandable. I was tempted to make it completely using behaviours but in the end just used one stock behaviour; it might be interesting to recreate it using behaviours exclusively. If anything's unclear, please do ask.
Oh, just in case, my apologies if any content causes offence (but relax, it's a game).
MODS: Please do change the resource category if there's a more appropriate one.
I can't seem to upload the file here; maybe it's too big. Click here for the download (2.3Mb Zip file).
