Am i supposed to rig the character a certain way or am I just supposed to import a model and there is a magic button somewhere that i cannot see that automatically applies a rig(that would be nice). :)

I am not understanding how to bring a maya rigged character into animeeple. I have imported it but cannot get it to rig. I even tried just bringing in the model alone. I cannot find elaborate documentation on this issue and this is deeply hindering me from using the software.Am i supposed to rig the character a certain way or am I just supposed to import a model and there is a magic button somewhere that i cannot see that automatically applies a rig(that would be nice). :)

In Fact after deleting the rest of my content and exorcizing Animeeple from my various websites.....
I experienced a 2,000 % increase in sales of our new T.O.M.B. "The Online Motions Box".
That just goes to show that I never needed animeeple anyways,
I am just angry about the way animeeple handles the situation.
Let this serve as a warning about how Animeeple handles its business.
For one Animeeple let someone on their forum to accuse Truebones of wrongdoing. And then wouldnt erase it. Then Banned me from the forum so that I could not communicate, then accused me of not communicating.
Second of all the inital accuser is a fellow competitor who just didnt want me to make the Truebones Motions FREE, Animeeple did not moderate his messsagees and let him spew page after page of ranting hate messages.
Heres One of his Hate messages promoted through the Animeeple site...
I don't have any argument with Bones, or anyone else for that matter.I
havent purchased
anything from him, and I dont have any need for motion files from him
or anyone else.
But I know people who have, and I know people who produce 3D content
and are barely scraping by
in this economy, and sociopaths like Mr Bones who steal others work
and profit from it are hurting
those people and everyone in the creative community including
yourselves. I was letting you know of
a serious violation of intellectual property rights. I am sure you
want to be informed if an unscrupulous sociopath hijacked your
Animeeple software and code and was selling it under a different name.
I have a sense of social responsibility and I dont look the other way
when I see a wrong being committed.
I intend to make the appropriate authorities and vendors aware of
whats occurring on your site, and then
leave it up to them and move on. If I were you I would make sure that
whomever uploads data to your server is the
legitimate creator or owner, or this kind of situation will happen
again.
Regards..

and in the end, I did not receive one phone call from anybody the whole time...
So to wrap this up... I know Animeeple reserves the right to refuse service or do business with anybody they want.
But I reserve the right to warn folks about how Animeeple treats their own motion vendors and or market partners....

His intitial letter was even much more damaging... Talking about calling every motion vendor, campaining for my destruction,in the feds and what not like repeatledly calling me a sociopath, bla bla bla...Hate rant city.and in the end, I did not receive one phone call from anybody the whole time...

I haven't been able to import a single model/skeleton from any file I have into it, so I've shelved it anyway. I'm hoping Ecstasy Motion will let me do the simple job of importing a model, some animations, relabelling joints to match (on either!) and exporting. Looks like that is the direction the next version is taking (hurry up, BAG folks :).

"Sociopath", huh? That's not exactly what I think of when I see Mr. Bones posting his latest cool updates :)I haven't been able to import a single model/skeleton from any file I have into it, so I've shelved it anyway. Due to the recent actions of Animeeple, I can no longer, in good conscience recommend Animeeple to anyone anymore.
As a former provider of high quality motion capture animation data to the Animeeple Marketplace, I recently was going to make a large number of animations free to Animeeple users.
Another provider of motion capture data, from the same Animeeple marketplace (who shall remain nameless) was threatened by this move, in turn falsely accused me of stealing animations from others.
In response, Animeeple removed all my animations from their library. This is understandable, putting users at risk of using stolen data is not acceptable. The process they used is what I can not condone.
Instead of informing users that they had temporarily suspended or removed my animations while they reviewed the allegations, they just pulled them all without saying anything. This gave credibility to the false accusations, causing great harm in an industry where reputation is so important.
In addition, they repeated ignored attempts by myself to contact them to get more information on why my animations had been pulled and provide proof that the allegations were false. Eventually they were able to verify that the allegations of theft were blatantly false.
Instead of apologizing for the lack of communication and the trouble (and damage to my reputation) they had caused, and informing users that the allegations had been proven false, they became aggressive and blamed me for not getting in touch with them sooner (which I attempted on every available occasion). Not one phone call was made to me, nor was any email on my part answered.
If this is the type of support and behavior one can expect from them, I don't feel comfortable doing business with them any longer. I encourage potential users of Animeeple to take a look at other 3D animation programs to use in conjunction with Truebones high quality motion capture data."
Thanks again and Cheers

I just wanted you and everyone to know that I went to Animeeple.com and submitted feedback to them, stating the following:
I suggest others do the same if they do not like this shady business practice of Animeeple. Corporations need to be help accountable for their (negative) actions.

Hello, I just wanted to drop by and mention I am a game developer, movie maker, and 3D hobbiest who always outsources his animations because I never have time.
I was actually very interested in animeeple, and had already downloaded your software. But before I looked around...
I have read how rudely and inappropriately you treated Truebones, without even an apology. I refuse to perform business with a company that treats its employees this way. I am tired of companies who don't know how to handle themselves properly.
I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ANIMEEPLE because of this sole reason.
I don't know truebones, but I did purchase his products which are exceptional. That's all.
Thank you,

Thanks for your support.
In addition, to add insult to injury, Animeeple broadcast on their website forum that I would be refunding everyone's money that bought Truebones from their market place.
Needless to say I never received one refund request.
On top of that I had promoted Animeeple to the fullest extent and not only that I helped them to develop and test the program to make it better.
So half of the current features on their marketplace and in their software were because of my hard work that I freely gave to them in return for nothing.
And thats still half of the full story of the pain, damage and humiliation that company has caused me not only personally, but professionally as well.
Thanks again and Cheers for your support.

We just made a new release of Animeeple with new features and bug fixes: http://www.animeeple.com.
Marcus, I'm not familiar with DTS file format. Is there a spec somewhere?
