Slowdown on Take the High Road mission

This is strange...but here it goes. Everything works fine, except the mission that I'm on currently, Take the High Road. No other missions are like this, I'm really not sure what is up. Anyone else have this problem?

Bruce, did you turn on the shadowing? That can have a detrimental effect on performance on some cards. Which level are you talking about? 14 beginer, intermediate, or advanced? (if you can post the name of the level, that would be better)

Shadowing? I Don't know... What ever the other levels were set to. We didn't change anything between levels.
Shadowing is set to on right now and has been on all over levels. We'll try it with shodowing off... it works fine now... what's the dif? there are still shadows under the ball, so what shadows does the toggle effect?

Stencil buffering is a pretty intensive operation, so it's off by default for most cards. Some levels are also worst than others. In your case, I'd recommend leaving them off :) The shadows don't make any difference to game play.

The shadow option toggle stencil shadows on/off. Stencil shadows will add shadows to all the parts in a level, including moving platorms, powerups, etc. With stencil shadows off, only the marble will have a shadow.Stencil buffering is a pretty intensive operation, so it's off by default for most cards. This shows the same level slowdown too...
I purchased a new graphics card, a PNY Verto GeForce MX 420, with 64MB
SDRAM. Nvidia chipset.
Marble blast now works, sort of. It has a few bugs and oddities with the sound. but is playable for awhile before it gets unstable. 30min with a 11
year old and 3 friends. I've not tried using the Open GL driver, as it
defaulted to, for some reason was compelled to switch to the Direct3D
mode... that worked, but It is running a bit buggy.
Got to the 14th level and everyting got really slowwwww. So slow that it is unplayable. Switching back to the 11th level and it still works fine.
Music bed cuts out when you go to the options screen (every time) and then after cuts in momentarily
when you select any of the tabs or buttons. Like it is trying to play a button click sound,
but you get the music bed for the sound duration and the it chops off and you get nothing again... leaving the options menu and playing gets you back to the music which seems to work fine.
Anyway, the kids like it a lot and played it until the ball seemed to get stuck in fast forward roll mode and they could only stop it by going backwards!
They couldn't go backwards or control it any more.
