Hello

Torque x is optimazed for DTS file format even though it supports also .x and .fbz
I use Fragmotion which does not export .DTS

I want to buy Torque x but I am concerned for :

Are there low cost reliable animation software \ converters exporting dts ?
Should I use the .x file from fragmotion can I expect to lose some Torque x fearures ?

Thanks in advance

Keep in mind that .X does not contain animation data. So if you are creating an animated model, you will need to export to the .FBX format (and .XSI is on the way). As for DTS exporters, our team uses the exporter for 3DS Max 8 and Milkshape. I've heard other using the DTS exporter for Maya.

Thanks

Well, the .x file in general contains animation data, I assume it is a limitation of Torque x
MAX is too expensive

Is the the MilkShape .DTS exporter reliable and complete ?
I mean, sometimes low cost packags are buggy and \ or they miss some features

Compliment for your book

I am reading it these days and I fell in love with Torque x ;)

The Milkshape exporter seems really reliable. I think we use the DTS exporter for 3DS Max more, though. Milkshape is very solid, the big downside to its low price is not so much bugs, but a weaker toolset. We're just more productive with Max. Thank you for the compliments, I really enjoy working with Torque X too ;)
