Samu Games is looking for an artist to create some new artwork for their game, Artifact.
What we're looking for is an artist who can design 2 new units, and then create the necessary game artwork for those units.
The spec for the artwork has already been worked out, since the game has been online over 3 years now.
* There is a single, game-wide palette of 256 colors. This palette must be used.
* Units must fit within a 72x72 pixel cell size.
* There are 2 animations per unit: walking and attacking.
* Animations must be created for 4 ordinal facings: forward, backward, left, and right.
The units must "fit" the game's existing artistic style. You can check out the game here:
www.samugames.com/artifact
Some examples of existing units:

We are looking for someone to do work-for-hire contract work, but we're open to other arrangements, as well.
If you're interested, please send your resume and samples of your work to:
davidrm@samugames.com
Thanks!

Edit: Removed the unnecessary 'dying' animation.
Edit: Improved example images.
