Hi, I've read some articles for seating up hammer for TGE, but I use the Steam version of hammer, dose anyone know how to set the steam version up? or do I need to download the non steam version?

Feel free to send them a letter asking for permission tho, as it seems like they would give it.

Carter, you may want to read the whole thread. I just did and wow did that bring back some memories. The eula still hasn't changed, so without express written permission from valve, I would shy away from it. That's a very old thread and has never been officially, and more importantly, legally confirmed by Valve.

Just use hammer... import in the ctor... export... use in torque?

You will also need to model your structures correctly to export them and have it retain its original appearance. The extrusion algorithms to make it bsp-safe can mess up complex geometry. Most likely your UV's will also not be retained correctly, though I haven't used Maya's map exporter. It is a common problem with most map exporters and texturing.
