GG restricting certain threads

I purchased 1.5.2 TGE and a friend of mine purchased 1.4.2 + the upgrade. They both cost the same amount of money. ($150.00) There are certain threads that I am unable to see because it says I need to have purchased 1.4.2 TGE yet he is able to see the thread.

IMOI, I feel I should have access to these older threads especially if GG no longer offers the sale of 1.4.2. If I had known of this restriction I would purchased 1.4.2 + the upgrade in order to access the threads. My request is that you lift the restriction.
