TGEA 1.7 beta bug - Gui editor maximise

by darbotron · in Torque Game Engine Advanced · 04/20/2008 (10:24 am) · 6 replies

Apologies if this has already been submitted.

I have the "TorqueGameEngineAdvancedSDK-1-7-0-Beta-2.exe" version of the beta installed.

When I maximise the gui editor window to full screen, I find that approx. 90% of the time the mouse position the editor appears to be using is anything up to 20-30 pixels offset from where my mouse pointer is actually being rendered by windows (can be in just X, just Y, or both).

e.g. if the vertical position is out, trying to use the GUI Tree View results in selecting elements in the tree view that are above or below where you are clicking.

This issue can be fixed by minimising then maximising the window, but consistently re-occurs when maximising a non-minimised window.

This should be fixed in the 1.7 release.

Why are you running the beta?

I had no idea the full non beta version was out - I only downloaded it a few days ago.

sorry :)

Oops! scratch that - I downloaded it almost a month ago.

I've been really busy at work and not spent enough time working at home, my wife always says I have no grasp of real time...

I obviously won't be posting any more beta bugs.

Sorry again ;)

I don't think this was fixed in the release. I get problems like this in the GUI Editor and when I change the resolution.

I've also experienced this problem. Especially with setting the resolution of TGEA to be the same as the desktop.
And why was editing a mission in fullscreen mode removed? I rather prefered editing missions in full screen.

- Mouse coordinates offset when resizing/switching to fullscreen
Previously had this problem, too, but cannot replicate it with 1.7 final.

- Editing not possible in fullscreen
That is probably due to native controls being used now (menu bar, for example).
