Constructor can't export cathedral

I am using a fresh copy of constructor(just reinstalled it) and I can't seem to export the cathedral as a dif. I was just wondering if anyone was having the same problem. (couldn't find any similar threads when I searched) I am assuming I need to change some setting, or maybe move the texture files. I didn't see anything strange in the console text though.
It just seems like the structure used to show constructor off would export easily, so I'm a little confused.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hay guy Cool, Yes you did Help Shon alot with OverLord, and thank you very much for that. Now we can get it to work ROTFL lol. I have been swamped to get my end of it together with OverLord but I have the link to the docs now for it so I think we can figure the rest out. If we have trouble we will E you /smiles. I need to get to that next after I help here I think ROTFL nothing like being swamped to make the day o by fast aye?

As I am having some LOD trouble with a Town I am working on and did a post, after that I will play /smiles..... and help out if I can. So if anyone has any good advice for me on that post I sure would like it and would be much indebted to you all.

Hy all,

Ok, sorry to have taken so long to get back, but as I said I have been swamped. Ok here is what I have found with th new updates to 1.0.4 so for me anyway with the Cathedral. Odd but with the new updates I was able to export the building out just fine now, Derrrr......hahahaha...that is a good thing. However I did run into some bugs and kinda confirms my suspicion that was why when GG gave us the Cathedral that there was a reason for not giving it to us with LOD in it /smiles... It does crash heavy..let me explain.

I first changed some of the textures out as they were kind of boring to me, so while they were excellent textures, I wanted something that made it look more like it's namesake, also messed with the lights also some. That went well nd exported out well as a non LOD building. But then I tried to make it a lod with _0, _1, _2. Now here is where I ran head first into a brick wall, for e anyway. And I have no idea why either. All I did was delete the mesh and make each lod much simpler and I used 250, 120, 64 on the LOD, so should have been just fine, but somehow it really did not like to export it out at all.

NOW I didn't just get a LOD error I also got an error when it created the error log in my temp directory as well, as it said it make one in a certain area? and it didn't, it lied, as I cannot send that report to you all sorry, not my fault, another C Bug.
Here is the first of the 2 error reports that I got when it tried to export I believe the_2 lod port of the export, or it seemed to be that way, like the file was to big to handle the export r something.

Now this last one is just section of that error report I cannot send you as it is bugged.

Other then that It seems to work just fine as long as one does not try and LOD it. Unless anyone has done that yet? if So please give us the secret to getting it exported out right /winks. I may try that again the beginning of the month when I get a bigger computer with 4 gigs of ram and the new duel mother board with the new goodies on board, then maybe then I can export out, but I doubt it, think it s a bug, but not sure how.
One last thing, upon tweaking the building I must say some very fine work in the modeling of it. I think it much forte engine, but dam fine work, but it really is not Cathedral and not sure ho it got it's name hahahahahaha.
as freebees go not to shabby with tweaking on it. Here is what it looks like in our ATOMIX World we are building.

As you can see with no lod it works fine now since they did the bug fixes updates, but now there is that error reporting but that needs to get fixed. Or am I the only one that that is happening to?

I can send system info, but this computer should do just fine with these issues unless it is something like my video card and that is a 5700 series, so should be fine, I have a 8200 coming the first of the month, just in case hahahaha. But I an give you my info if you think that would help. Hope that helps a bit, an will do more what ya need boss? /smiles......

I noticed the that the Constructor in the pictures is 1.04, I can only download 1.03. Where can I get Constructor 1.0.4?

I'm running windows XP Pro.

Did you run the update.bat file as well? need to do that after you put the files in on the last update, to change it out t 1.0.4 I think Morrie. /smiles.

Yes I did. I don't see why the just don't put it on the GG download page as an exe. then all we would have to do is run it

Alex Swanson made the Cathedral as a stress test/show off of what you could do with Constructor. I do remember from way back having the occasional crash with exporting it on lower end machines, but I had thought those resolved. Hmmm...

Well for some reason many have had trouble up until the last few patches. however we still cannot export it out as a lod building, as I think it takes o much resources for it,and I have at least the upper lower end computer atm, so it should do Ok but does not with LOD, however s I said does fine now for me anyway with no lod on it for now, have a bigger comp coming the beginning of the month and will try the lod again to see if it will export and not a bug, just a gas hog /ROTFL.

Thanks Alex for the FYI on that model, nice model, but very pricey it looks like lolol.
