How do I disable directional movement as observer

Hi...

I'm trying to disable directional movement after entering the game as an observer, but still have mouse movement, until the player spawns into the game, then keyboard movement is enabled again.

Your help would be much appreciated, as its late in the day, I'm not functioning, can't seem to get my head round it :)
