WIP Medieval Buildings

These are a work in progress, they still need tweaking, especially the textures, but so far they are coming along nicely. Basically, I modelled one building then created some variants from that, I need to alter the colours on the others to distinguish them a bit more though.
A little village :

The original :

ver 2 :

ver 3 :

inside :

inside the 3 story version :

There is also a partially complete tower version :

Unfortunately, this one is giving me issues, namely, cylinders and cones are problematic, especially with CSV operations and many faces (I'll post a bug report up soon)

It looks really, really good, Gareth!!! How did you do those beautiful staircases? Was that built into Constructor functionality somehow, or is each stair its own independent brush?

Thanks all. Jason, I built them myself using basic primatives. :)

I also really love the wood support structure, the whole thing looks great. I hope that creating the stairs out of primitives like that does not suck the FPS dry, though.

Wow... Gareth, you are talented. The stairs look great. Thanks for the info on creation method, too. ;-)I also really love the wood support structure, the whole thing looks great. I hope that creating the stairs out of primitives like that does not suck the FPS dry, though.

FPS seems fine on my machine with a few of them in the stage, and once portals are in CTor it should be even better. Admittedly though I haven't stress tested them in a level.

Thanks Jason. Yeah, little details like supports are key to making any structure look realistic. :)FPS seems fine on my machine with a few of them in the stage, and once portals are in CTor it should be even better. Admittedly though I haven't stress tested them in a level.

Now I got a question for you. When building this did you make a solid block, hollow it out, and then cut in an entrance or did you build it block by block? Nice looking btw. Any porpuse this is for or just for poops and giggles?

They're for the RPG I'm building.

Thanks Jared. I tend to build the walls as thin blocks rather than hollow out a cube, but I'm not saying that is "the best way". For doorways I occasionally use the hollow tool, but slicing gives you more control over what is going to happen. They're for the RPG I'm building.

If you need any help building buildings Ill help out. I cant put them into the game cause I have yet to purchase TGE or TGEA but I could send you the models if you wanted. Again great looking models.

Darn, I wish I could model that good. It'd make my life so much easier. You should write a tutorial or something on how to make mideaval buildings.
