Thank you GG, i wanted to sit and read the riot act to jerks that have been putting you guys down for working your buts off for them but i wont, i think enough have been said in that area, but not enough thank yous. You guys have all worked hard to provide technology that is priced thousands below your competition. Thank you again!!

"If I have missed anyone, please understand its been a long day
and I'm a little bit tired"
Kudos to anyone who guesses what film the above quote is from :D
Really awsome that constractor is gona be free, but I can understand why, from
several standpoints ;)
But from a selfish standpoint, its just awesome (presuming its as good as I hope !! hehe)

Oh ya, as soon as someone "puts GG down" they are a jerk. No offence but that tells us more about you than them.

Keep up the good work guys.

I too will throw in my thanks to the GG staff. Although there are features that are missing from the engine, I continue to work around them while waiting confidently and patiently for the engine to be updated.Keep up the good work guys.

On the flip side of that. The only thing I don't like are fanboys. Like, I can't remember who it was, but when TorqueX came out, someone said that it was the only thing that made XNA worth anything. Aside from being shocked that anyone would say something that retarded... it was embaressing. I like humility. Where you can say who you are and what you can do and leave it at that. "putting up" GG or anyone by putting down someone else is just as telling and in my opinion it is bad PR for GG. I wish fanboys would grow up and turn into loyal and mature enthusiasts. I know there are some real dipshits and some like me who've just lost their temper in frustration, but I think that the fuel for most people who turn to "putting down" GG is community fanboy attack dogs who "put down" anyone who isn't as "rah rah" GG as they are.
I think GG are really trying to balance doing good for indie developers and doing good for themselves... sometimes too much on the good for developers side in my opinion... certainly they hoped to do good while having that investment in indies pay off for them too. Everyone is human. I am certainly very appreciative of the opportunities that GG has opened up for people to become game developers. I think that in the big picture, they will go down as trailblazers... not in the sense that they started an indie game movement, like in films, but that they opened up the doors for people like you and I to step into the game industry. I don't know about anyone else, but I think that's the most wonderful thing anyone could ever do in life. Help someone live their dreams. Doesn't get more important than that to me. And for that, you can never say thank you enough.

What a sensible and eloquent fellow you are! It does my heart good to see somebody offer GG the praise they often deserve without feeling the need to use phrases like "OMG, this is freakin' AWESOME!" Such comments are thoughtless and essentially meaningless - I find myself unable to believe that a post of "Awesome guys, you rock!", made an hour after some announcement, means anything whatsoever to either the poster or the intended recipient of the praise...
Your second paragraph is the most convincing and articulately-worded endorsment of GarageGames and its "vision" I have ever read on this site, and the more so for pointing out that GG is a self-reliant commercial enterprise and not some kind of wonderful kindly uncle, bestowing fabulous gifts upon us.
Well said, well said indeed.

That why i called them jerks, no one should really be putting down anyone, and that the point. If you cant say anything nice then don't say anything at all. Maybe i should have included this above. Sorry for the confusion:)
cheers

The only thing I can complain about is when I downloaded TGEA it failed to download all your knowledge to my brain, I am sure this is a bug :)

And for the fee I have paid I have no complaints.
However, I do understand those who are annoyed at dropped "promises" & half completed features.
I really didn't expect a "crysis 2" engine for $150 !! lol even if thats what was "inferred" from the
adverts :)
Peace
(btw respect to John, brian (the brain) and Ben)
