You should also purchase the programmers guide to Torque, it goes into pretty good detail on particle effects.

Try to make a volcano.. it's a fun way to learn about smoke, fire, and particles.

I assume this is for the demo? People that do not own licenses can post questions for use of demos in the public forums forums of the engine you are using.
