What's up with Forums Search?
by J "hplus" W · in General Discussion · 10/12/2006 (8:10 am) · 8 replies
I finally found the "search" link at the bottom of the Forums page. However, it appears that it doesn't actually find anything in the forums, no matter what the keyword is. A forum without search is like a car without windshield wipers -- is there some search function that actually works?

It's not just the fact that it's a forum that's the problem, it's that this is the GG forum where every time you turn around someone is suggesting using the search engine. torque users are waaay too dependent on the search functionality for it to ever be down.

It is a Google problem and they are working closely with Rick to fix it.

It is a fact of life that things break. All you can do is be patient. They are working on it. It has been posted many times. They want it fixed as much as you.

Everyone understands that we can't SEARCH for this because SEARCH is a little off right now.

I actually like how most of these "what's up with Search" posts is actually addressed by either an Associate or an Employee. With this question being asked a few times before...I am happy to see that a F-Bomb laced reply hadn't been formed yet :) Everyone understands that we can't SEARCH for this because SEARCH is a little off right now.

The search function has been working properly for me the last couple of days.

Sweet...now if only TGE 1.5 was released, and I had my hands on Overlord -- and that sweet car pack too :)

[funny joke] You should have search the forums before posting this, you would have found the answer![/funny joke]
