Need TSE to be cross-platform

I hope this is the right place for this post...
I am developing a game that needs to run on Mac, and Windows machines, but also preferrably Linux. I also need the engine to be able to render normal maps and other shader-related things.
TGE is cross-platform but does not have shader capabilities, and TSE has shader capabilities but is not cross-platform.
I was told that TSE may be ported over to OpenGL at some point. Can someone verify this, and if so, where can I join the beta?

You best bet if you want cross platform support now is to start work on createing the opengl layer. Otherwise your going to be in for a wait (I wouldnt count on it being this year).

I wouldnt expect TSE to have OpenGL support for many more months. I know they kicked it off of the 1.0 release of TSE that was originaly slated for a October timeframe release. That being said they did make note that TSE will eventuly have cross platform support via OpenGL but it was also noted as being said that it will happen in the future sometime. Not a huge priority at this stage of the game. They are still trying to tidy up the DirectX code and get the bugs hammered out for the 1.0 release. You best bet if you want cross platform support now is to start work on createing the opengl layer. It's still very important for us, although there's nothing concrete to be announced at this point. It's a matter of daily discussion and planning with us.
