Opinions on buying through GG or other sites?

First let me say that I love GG - I love what they do, how they do it, and their ideals. They are exactly aligned with my own, and I love that.

Now, I've seen some really cheap rates on this book compared to the GG price and yes, I made sure they were new and not used. Does GG get a bigger cut of profit if ordered through them versus another online or local retailer? If it's the same profit for GG and/or Edward either way, I'd be inclined to save $10-$15 and buy elsewhere. But, knowing how much I love GG, I'd rather give them my money to help support their cause.

An official answer is of course needed here, but my gut says they get a bigger chunk if you buy from them.

Where did you find the book cheaper? I bought it off Amazon.com, paying a few bucks more than GG charges because:

* Amazon.com accepts Amex. GG (still) doesn't. This was a company purchase, which meant I needed to use the company Amex. I did the mail-in-a-check approach for the TLK. That took for-flipping-ever, and I didn't want to go through that again.

* Amazon.com gave me free shipping. (Dunno if GG does free shipping.)

IMX, publishers make more from direct orders of their books, authors don't.

I generally use http://www.addall.com to do a search for books for the cheapest price.

It was $54 the other day. With a coupon code (I googled for "coupon code alibris") that takes off $5, it turns out to be about $12 cheaper (price with shipping). That was media mail, but I don't usually mind waiting a week or two to get books. If I want them sooner I'll pay the premium and buy them at a local bookstore.

Many places are starting to no longer accept AMEX because they have very high merchant fees. So I wouldn't expect GG to start unless AMEX changes it's fees.
