Final Elf Sorceress Concept

I gave Shawn direction for the Sorceress based on our discussions in this forum. He sent back a couple of new drawings, and we decided to go with one of them without further discussion. Our feeling is the new Elf is tough, yet feminine and has enough magic to feel like a battle worn sorceress.
Many of the ideas and concepts posted during this discussion can be used as Realm Wars grows in scope. However, for the next milestone, we wanted to keep a certain look and feel. Rick is still working hard on the task manager so we can open this project up to more input.
Thanks for all the feedback.

I like her, much more "magical" looking.

Looks nice, aside from the whole being blind thing. :p j/k It should look quite a bit better on the engine as well.

The effect was ruined when I saw the thumbnail to the right as the main picture was downloaded. :D Looks nice, aside from the whole being blind thing. :p j/k It should look quite a bit better on the engine as well.

No no! Those eyes are the coolest thing about the elf. It really adds to the character.

It is a fantasy world, meaning anything is possible....I think its a fantasy world anyway, right?

I think the eye is cool too. And just because it looks that way don't me she isn't able to see out of it.It is a fantasy world, meaning anything is possible....I think its a fantasy world anyway, right?

That'd be pretty neato if you ask me.
He is one amazing artist if you ask me. Can't wait to contribute some music to this project when the time comes!

Heh... It'd be cool if her eyes were light sources on the level. Like to small local lights or something... And when she cast a spell they could flare up and have a cool little effect around them. That'd be pretty neato if you ask me.

I've been led to this forum by way of my first post. I've recived the concept image and I was going to attempt to model her. If the original artist could work up a character sheet using foreshortening I would be greatfull. I want to get an exact replica of her and the easiest way is a front view/side view seperated weapon with a close up of the detailed parts, on the side view make sure she has no arms, seperate them to a different section of the character sheet. Front view lay her in an angel pose, arms up from teh side. This is all IF you can, if not i can work with that concept sketch. Send any more information about her to MattCrawford@comcast.net or painiac@comcast.net I'm looking forward to working with you talented artists.Matt.

Check out the new conceptual artwork I just posted. It has a preliminary color key, front, and back views. In addition, I asked Shawn to give us some non-pony tail hairstlyes so we don't have to worry about the physics of a bouncing hair style.Keep the number of polys around 1,900.
