Why people dont post ideas

by Robert Brim · in Game Design and Creative Issues · 04/07/2001 (1:59 pm) · 1 replies

I can give a prime example. So far I have had 6 people, claim they wanted to help on a project I have using VB6. In every single case, as soon as the person has received the files, they disappeared into the night.

In short, there are too many people on here that do not want to or can not come up with ideas and the implementation on their own, they have to try to steal what other people have done.

Thankfully, what I had is open source, so it did not cost me that much. You get the point though. (And yes I was offering them royalties on what they did)

You gave people your source code? I would never
do something like that. However if it is open source
you should have a webpage and store the whole lot
there. That way you won't have to send files to ppl.
Also I think you'll have more luck getting ppl to
work on it.
