Search Engine Issues

I just noticed today that doing a search for something as simple as 'advanced camera' did not return any pages about the advanced camera resource. I had to go to the authors info page and look at his posted resources to find the page.
I tried some other searches for specific information that I knew was there, and had found in a search result before, and now it's not in the search results.. Just a bunch of DevMaster links?
Might want to check on the search engine.

Yea...your probably right Stefan. I am sure Rick already knows about it. These guys are so busy with all the great things they are working on and fixing to release. Just didn't want it to accidently get over looked.

I just NOW enter a search for 'bloom' seeking info on bloom FX, and got near a full page of www.indiegamescon.com hits, stuff like this: www.indiegamescon.com/mg/snapshot/view.php?qid=1178 what it titled as a search returning info from Snapshot - Dynamic Range Lighting 2.0 :. GarageGames. Sure i can edit the URL and put www.garagegames.com in place of www.indiegamescon.com and it works... but doing this for 80% of search returns is more then a hassle... A week ago the funked up search function was just annoying- now its getting to be intolerable!

You should appreciate that you get any results at all. I can not find the pages I found a few weeks ago anymore.

Search what you want.
If the desired result will lead to www.indiegamescon.com, copy that link and paste to your address bar and replace "indiegamescon" to "garagegames."
This should definitely be fixed asap.

Here's a workaround:Search what you want.
If the desired result will lead to www.indiegamescon.com, copy that link and paste to your address bar and replace "indiegamescon" to "garagegames."

We're working on this issue with the folks from Google and are trying to get it resolved as soon as we can. So sit tight.

a simple search for "tank" limited to the forums returns only 3 hits, one per year(2004, 2005, 2006).
