Trying to Buy...

I've been trying to buy the Torque 2d Builder for about a week now but unfortunately keep getting an error when I try to pay using my Visa card. The error asks me to call Garage Games which I've tried but there is never anyone in (I just get voicemail). Does anyone know what time zone their offices are in? I live in Japan so I've been calling in the morning when I get up (what I think should be around 4pm the previous day on the US East Coast). I've also sent an email asking for help but there was no response (I guess the email might not have been that clear, I was feeling very frustrated at the time and ranted a bit). If anyone knows an active email address I can send to please let me know.

Yeah, I'm not using spaces in the number. I think it could be to do with my name - the card has my initials but the form asks for my first and last name. I've tried using my full name, my initials and my first and last name but it failed. Interestingly enough I tried using my American Express card just to see if it would work and got one stage further through the process before failing (as expected seeing as only Visa and Mastercard are accepted). Another possibility might be my address. It's a UK address (my billing address is my UK home address) so the information might not match exactly to the boxes in the US style form. Last possibility I can think of is that my IP address is being used to validate me and failing because the card is tied to my UK bank account but I'm physically located in Japan.

I'm physically in Russia(and have Russian card), first attempt to buy results in fail with message about calling support but after I switched off my satellite connection(they give Cyprus IPs) and attempt again with ADSL(which give me Russian IP) all buying was completed normally.

Yeah, if you're physically too far away from your billing address the purchase fails. I had it happen to me when I was trying to buy T2D while in Eugene for a TGE Boot Camp. Just contact GG and they can help you.

There is usually someone in the office at about 8:30 every morning, the Time Zone is Pacific Standard. This week is a little strange as half of the crew is at the GDC in San Jose. If you want, you can send me the email and I will forward it on the appropriate people.

Ahh, that explains it. I was starting to think I'd done something wrong ;-p Anyway its a relief to know why no-ones been there when I called. I'll stay up late tonight and call there around 8:30. I don't think its necessary to send another email now, I was just hoping to find out when to call.

It would be better to send an email.. this morning (Friday) I have to wait for a delivery at home, and the person who usually handles this is at the GDC. If you email, it might happen faster, as this morning, you may reach voice mail depending on which option you choose.
If you email me directly (email in my profile), I can forward it and try to see what I can do today for you, although it may have to wait until monday until everyone is back at the office.
