...well maybe we didn't get listed on slahdot but the announcement of Realm Wars today sent our hits through the roof and immobilized our web server for several hours today (Monday). Thank god HomeLan hosted the downloads :)
I have made a few changes to the server config and sacrificed a few extras and we seem to be up and running fairly smooth at the moment (ok, still a few little bumps). Just wanted to let you know what's going on and why. As you know we will be unavailable most of this week (Game Developers Conference) so having these types of server issues the night before you leave is just somewhat disconcerting. If there are problems during the week it make take longer than normal to get them addressed, hang in there we'll do our best.
....and yes we are already talking about beefing up the web server as soon as we get back.
