I like the new look! Though... what is the name of the product? Is it Torque Game Builder or Torque 2D Game Builder? All the forums I see are named Torque 2D Game Builder, whereas the product is named Torque Game Builder on the page itself. I notice the sytem requirements page is a little empty.

@Keith - We are changing the name but during the transition we are using Torque 2D Game Builder. When the final 1.0 is release (very very soon) we will drop the 2D.

Thanks for clearing that up. However, very very soon is a matter of perspective when you are a linux user. For me, that will be more like after the windows release is out & the linux t2d community patches it up (which at some point I'll probably see what I can do to help myself, but I'm very much an engine/C++ noob).

Over all pretty nice pages.
here's some feedback as well.

Technical::
The neon green background on the boxes on the right hand side is a bit jarring while the page is loading, after the page is finished loading the green gets replaced with the banana gut yellow its much nicer.

Layout::
The main Tagline 'PROFESSIONAL GAME MAKING FOR EVERYONE' and logo feel like they're being crowded out by all the busy, colorful images to the left, right, and above it.

Maybe moving the left screenshot down a bit on the page and give the tagline some breathing room?

On the features list at the bottom, make each feature link to the proper section on the features page.

Purchasing information was not clearly presented, you had to hunt and read for it. Unfortunately, people don't read anymore. People like buttons, and don't make them figure out what an indie license is before they've already decided to buy that isn't going to do anything but cost you sales.

Content::
At the bottom of the main page a good bit of the features list verbiage is, well, muddy. Probably because there is Soo much to say and not enough room for it. Do the brutal thing and pitch each feature in 10 words or less and add an easy link for more info.

for example: the Pixelblast entry is essentially a list of buzzword features and marketing spiel but there isn't really enough room for either and in the end doesn't make me want to find out more.
Something like "Pixelblast is TGB's state of the art rendering engine, find out more." with a link to the proper place on the features page where you DO have the room to really sell the feature. Short an sweet generates more interest than a lot of words that don't have any meaning to the viewer.

I'd suggest (well you did ask for suggestions after all) honing the pitch some more. References to other product's features assumes that the potential client knows about them in advance, and can easily alienate the viewer, and as such should be avoided.

Overall stylistically, the giant chickens, chess and bejweled may be indicative of the common type of application that the product can create. But are those really really the dream games of new wannabe designers who are the core purchasers? You're selling the ability to "make it fast and fun to go from concept to completion with any type of 2D game design you can dream up."
But really, how many of us dream of chess, chickens and bejewled clones?

The features page is chock full of good information and explains all the features well and has good selling power but the front page needs to hook the client MORE, to make them want to find out what Parallax scrolling is and why its neat and such, they aren't going to read a paragraph of text on their own initiative.

If we bought the early adopter release, will we need to rebuy the TGB version? And with TDN be revised with the new features for TGB because there are no tutorials on how to use the Beta toolset?

No, I don't think so.

TDN is a wiki, so it is constant work in progress. I am sure toolset tutorials will come.
