Torque being maintained..or improved since inception?

I think the subject explains my question. Ive been working with it for a while, but I have never figured out if its been constantly improved since 2002, and by that I mean modernized in its rendering and such, or simply maintained and supported while awaiting TSE to finally enter release status.
Anyone know?
Thanks!

I will let Ben reply with what sort of improvements are to be found, but as Michael says the focus is unlikely to be graphics, as such, because that is what TSE is for.

It is certainly being maintained and improved. I know Ben Garney is hard at work right now finishing up what needs to be done to bring you the 1.4 release of TGE. Definately improved since I bought it.

Case in point would be the improved GUI controls in 1.4.

That said, I don't think GG is trying to make torque fully exploit every last feature of modern pixel shader cards. That is the job of TSE. TGE is supposed to run on a broader range of hardware while TSE is aimed more at high end gamer PCs.

I haven't owned TGE for all that long but from reading the forums and GG staff posts I'd agree with the other posters, definitely improved, not just maintained. That said, I don't think GG is trying to make torque fully exploit every last feature of modern pixel shader cards. It seems that GG is marketing TGE as the preferable Engine to use if you plan on having your game run on older hardware. TSE is reving up to be current High end and Next Generation Hardware.
