Indie Games Con '05 -- Ride Sharing

#3 Alright I will start this off...

I am driving from the east coast of Canada (South western Ontario) ... Any other Ontario peeps that want ot ride with me will have to make it to Chatham (Right smack dab between London and Windsor)

I'll be driving through the Southern part of Michigan.
Cutting across the North-West corner of Indiana
Straight across the North part of Illinois
Straight through Iowa
Middle / South part of Nebraska
Straight through the South part of Wyoming
Cut across the North of Utah
South West part of Idaho
Then across the North part of Oregon

So ya. I can fit 2 more people, so long as you don't pack a TONNE of stuff.

Split on gas, depending on where along the road I pick you up.

I'll probably leave around midnight (5th/6th) and stop for sleep somewhere. Getting there for Friday evening ish.

#4 I'm interested in going, but I am not completely sure of it at the moment. If there are others from my area that are going then I'm more likely to be willing to go and pay a fair share of the travel expenses.

I live in Southern California, Riverside area.

I was not going to go, due to the cost... However, if the three of us split the cost of gas, we may be able to go together.

I will have to discuss it with my girlfriend.

Justin - Where are you in Michigan ? I am in Ontario. Actually I can get into Michigan in about 15 minutes ;)

#12 Justin - I would be crossing the border at Windsor / Detroit... so ya, I am VERY close to you, and could pick you up.

Once again though... I will have ot talk to the girlfriend, and see what she says. (calculate finances etc.)

#13 Chris, I may get back to you. I'd love to go to IGC but it is quite exspensive, but if I had a ride it would save a flight. Paying for my share of gas is much cheaper than a flight.

(I'm just from the KW Area or ontario, so it wouldn't be hard for me to get to your area)

Something for me to seriously look into now.

#14 Tonasket (eastern) washington, a ride would be a good, I might be able to get a ride to western washington but that almost defeats the purpose, was wondering if anyones leaving from the east side..

#17 Anyone coming from Portland? We're considering whether we should save $100-200 or so and fly in there instead of Eugene.

#19 I'm coming into Portland on Thurs at 12:36PM. I have a car (small, room for 1 or 2, maybe 3 depending on size and luggage) if anyone wants a ride drop me a line and we'll see what we can work out. Might be able to upgrade the car if needed.

Have you any idea on the total cost of going together? I am still interested, but I would need to let work know and I would need to know approximate cost for everything, such as gas and hotels. Thanks! The cost of travelling there and going will decide whether or not I can make it.
