Meet GarageGames Founders At CGDC

by Jeff Tunnell · in General Discussion · 03/16/2001 (5:16 pm) · 25 replies

We will be hanging out on Friday, 3/23 from 3:30-4:30 or 5:00 PM. The location will be at one of the tables next to the Main Exhibit entrance.

We won't be there if nobody confirms, so let us know if you can make it.

I will be there. Will you guys be wearing identifiable clothing?

Yes. We'll all have black polo shirts with GarageGames logos. We'll probably try to put up a little GG sign as well.

I'll drop by and say "Hi" as well, most definitely! (My brother will be jealous that I met the guy who came up with the "The Incredible Machine" series.. :-))

I'll be there as well. I look forward to meeting you all.
I'll probaly be wearing a CA t-shirt, since I'm working the conference.

I'll be the dork handing out the AGFRAG business cards.

Forgive me for the questions I'll be eager to ask you all.

A little off topic but.... Is there going to be a jam night? I was thinking of bringing my guitar (electric). I play thrash/heavy metal (lead and rythm) and always welcome the chance to show off!

I'll be there, is Garage Games setting specific meeting times with interested developers as well as this informal meeting?

Also, I would like to meet with someone from GG as a press person (Gamespy.com) as well.

Cheers,

James. We can have private discussions after the general session. If you want to set up a specific press time, email me at jefft@garagegames.com.

hahahaha! I always thought the GG staff were really fat people with tiny feet and big beards surrounded by pizza and Mountain Dew :p Guess I was wrong! :)

Seeing how we are showing our faces....

Oh, guess I can't do that. Oh well. Thor Intrepid is my stage name (part time rock star - full time super hero). Yeah, I'm a dork.

See you at the conference.

Ah jeez... 3/4's of you guys are younger than me or at least look like it. The only one who looks older and has that "I'm 30, drive a sports car and date 18 year old blondes" look is Tim.

Can't attend this GDC due to a coding deadline :-(. However, do you have plans too attend the just announced
GDC in London later this year?

Would love to meet people there as well.

Im on the East Coast, so meeting fellow game developers is not a thing I get to do often.

Anyone able to meet sooner?

I'm new here, but after the V12 announcement I immediately joined.

A friend and I will be there and hope to meet you folks and discuss the engine, so add us to the tally.

Hey Robert Bear, where on the east coast are you? If you are in/near Raleigh, maybe we can meet up or something... perhaps an Indie GDC of sorts.

Let me know.

You know, while we're talking about non-GDC GDCs...

Why not a GG love-in in Eugene?

We can hash out plans to produce a Thor Intrepid "first-person rocker" game with the V12 engine.

I'm actually serious about the Eugene bit. It's a beautiful town.
