Milkshape Payment Methods

When i was looking over the Milkshape 3D order form, it said near the top:
No Checks!
No Money Orders!
No Coins!
Well, if youre sending $25 in an envelope to switzerland, how can we be sure that it will arrive safely?! Money orders are the only safe ways! Could this just be a scam to make us lose money? has anybody here managed to succesfully buy the program???

Lots of people have bought it including me. the time i registered it i didnt had credit card and i registered it by sending the money in the letter. took a bit longer because of the time it takes the letter to reach to him all the way from across the world. its pretty safe. You can try mailing him and see what is his response is maybe he can make an exception.

Oh yes my mom says that Mete Ciragen is a Turkish name, although i dont know why that matters.
...I wonder what hes doing in Switzerland...I go to Turkey every year in september (yay i miss three weeks of school!) and its a nice place.

But still, couldnt anybody just put the envelope up to lght to find out what surprises are inside, take it out, recreate the envelope, and then have Mete say, "Where's the cash?"Oh yes my mom says that Mete Ciragen is a Turkish name, although i dont know why that matters.

I'm planning on buying it.... soon.....

It doesn't matter. If you can, just use your parent's credit card and pay them back with cash. It's faster, safer, etc.I'm planning on buying it.... soon.....

You should always use Security Envelopes. Usually these envelopes have printing on the inside. Using the right envelope should prevent anyone from holding it up to the light and seeing whats inside.
I purchased Milkshape. Credit Card. No problems.

There is no way that Milkshape is a scam, I own a copy myself. Mete is like GG... we're the ones ripping them off IMHO. :)

I believe theres a service where you can send a money order to a company, and they give you a credit card number with that money or something. Maybe its paypal, although i'm not sure. Bryce, just go out, buy a visa gift card, and use that!

I own a Milkshape license. Didn't have any problems.

There is no need to send cash. I think the guy figured when he wrote that he was catoring to a BROKE market. Some kid desparatly wants Milkshape so he sends a jar of penny's. Not all money orders are accepted internationally.

You can purchase perpaid credit cards from most if not all major chains of convience stores in the US (IE 7-11, Royal Farms). At least the east they are everywhere you look. Most banks also have similiar products for customers..There is no need to send cash. I think the guy figured when he wrote that he was catoring to a BROKE market. ...amazing software for the price. Pound for pound, one of the best spent $20.00's ever[inho]; ah, yes this was before the Euro exchange bump...can't wait to see what version II is going to price at, I'd pay $150+...

One smiling Jackson in a security envelope off to Switzerland, and all was fine. He recently reported the 100,000 download of the program....no mention percentage of licenses...that's a lot of milkshakes...hehe. Never had any problems with the payment method or the software, it's updated on a very regular basis.......amazing software for the price. And oh I registered my copy via the internet as well (two years ago). Had zero problems. :)

Rex: The Milkshape 3D download count is only valid for download.com and only for that version on that website too, so it does not count the older release versions and I bet most people (like me ;) download directly off of the official milkshape website anyway (he doesn't have a count of local site downloads). Since Milkshape 3D has been around for years then most likely the download count is more like a bit over 1 million downloads I would assume. And oh I registered my copy via the internet as well (two years ago). Had zero problems. :)

$25 is a steal compared to $3000 (the last time I checked).
And even better than Milkshape (pricewise) is Blender!

If you think milkshape is a scam, look at 3D Studio Max!$25 is a steal compared to $3000 (the last time I checked).

Once you get used to Blender, it is quite intuitive.

Blender is pretty much as powerful as 3DS Max, but 3500 dollars cheaper.

On top of that - when Mete upated to version 1.7, he took out a bit of functionality that Milkshape didn't need, but which I was using for multitexturing support. I asked if he could put that functionality BACK into Milkshape - and he did, with the next version.
So color me a fan!
I *am* learning to use Blender, for the advanced capabilities of the package - though I'll still be using MilkShape for easy, simple stuff and it's ability to import and export from bazillions of formats.

I've purchased to licenses of MilkShape (one for myself, one for my modeling 'lead' guy to convert to and from Lightwave format for Void War). Very good software for the price! On top of that - when Mete upated to version 1.7, he took out a bit of functionality that Milkshape didn't need, but which I was using for multitexturing support.
