Maybe this isint the right place for this.
But Im just feeling that the bar has been raised for whats possible (in some manner) by the appearance of this game for playstation 2.

Now I instinctively know that a properly tuned home pc can generate more power in the right hands.
The only question I have is why nothing of this calibre seems to appear on pc till AFTER the fact.

I think I may be able to answer this. PC developers have to develop games for a large variety of systems. Unfortunately everyone doesn't have a PIII or higher, 256MB RAM, and the latest Video card. In order for a game to make money; developers have to make sure it runs adequately on a PII 64MB RAM and a year and a half old Video Card. Thus they cannot go out and make a game that uses all the resources of a 1GHZ with the newest Geforce and tons of RAM because only a few select people would be able to run the game on their system.

BTW the wait is not a big deal for me.PC always battling back and forth with consoles. The difference is a PC will be better 3-6 months from now and consoles won't be until 5 years when the next incarnation of that console comes out. PC games are much more in depth and you can play around with them by making MOD's. To me nothing can beat PC gaming; although I love console sports games.

Well no one makes games for old consoles.
And Users seem to understand the "upgrade or get left behind" philosophy behind that.
I think its about time we made a solution to the problem instead of just reacting to every new console incarnation.
