Total Novice attempts fate: success? or utter fool?

by Rex · in Torque Game Engine · 11/11/2003 (7:37 pm) · 5 replies

Good Day, scripters, artist Rex here; I've done something bold(for me...) and wanted to check my accuracy.

I attempted to bind the SnapShot to it's default hotkey, this is what I did:

copied last line from snapshot.cs
...and added it to the last line of default.bind.cs...in a nutshell. Deleted default.bind.cs.dso and reinitatied the engine.

Everything seems to be working well, but is this the best way to do this? or have I forgotten something that may creep up on me in time? and is there a way to direct the path of the output file?

Thanks
Rex

...well, as We say in showbusiness: "No news is good news"........this must have been so elementary, nobody considered it worthy of answering...LOL. Or it was already working and I didn't realize it...hahaha. Well, doesn't matter; it works.

Hey, if it works, it works. I don't see anything wrong with how you did it.

Rex, You need to write up some PDFS on your experiments and share them with the rest of us green horns. I am deliberately reading through every post on these boards to "absorb" as much as I can from people like yourself who are new but experimenting with results :)
