Discussed This Week
- Talked about the new Tracking Torque 3D Community Contributions blog.
- Talked about the new Intended Community Contribution wiki page.
- Went over new Pull Requests.
- Mike is putting together a blog/resource about using GitHub. Unfortunately, his computer died and he is setting up a new one.
- The modular template work was slow this week due to the GitHub blog/resource.
- Talked some more about using opengameart.org as the place the Torque 3D community could post their donated art work. A tag of "Torque3D" should be used, and the art should be licensed under either the Creative Commons 3.0 or public domain licenses.

Should add to use Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution license, not SA (Share-Alike), cause this is similar to other copyleft licenses like GPL and can be problematic.

*shudders in horror*
Mine started going fruity last night too, so I backedup like a man possessed. Some tinkering and a scandisk later all seems well again ... hopefully ... :S
And as Duion said, I'd think CC3.0A is best, not SA.
Thanks for the update, Dave.
I'm currently all hands to the pumps trying to get my project into shippable form and alas cannot help out.

Thanks for the clarification. CC3.0 Attribution it is! :)
I didn't realize it was viral and thought it only applied to derived works of the original art asset.

But I chose to go straight for CC-BY 3.0 to avoid confusion and because it is similar to MIT license and so pretty compatible.

It is not so clear what it really means, some say only the art asset, some say the whole product derived from it.But I chose to go straight for CC-BY 3.0 to avoid confusion and because it is similar to MIT license and so pretty compatible.
