This is by far the biggest game I've ever made, it took over 2 years to complete and started with iTorque 1.2. For part of the development I had a deal with a publisher to promote the game, but in the end I cancelled that contract and decided to release on my own, largely so that I could get it out nearer the iPad mini launch and before Christmas. This was a big gamble - I'm not yet sure if it has paid off. None of the review sites have picked up my game so it's been getting very little exposure, however Apple did feature it in the New & Noteworthy category recently so I'm hoping to get into the charts.
I'm a self-taught programmer (actually I'm a TGB shooter tutorial taught programmer - seriously) so I couldn't have made this without help from many people in the Torque community.
Firstly thanks to Mich. This game went through so many versions of iT2D I've lost track of them, and I couldn't have got it working after each engine change without his help.
Thanks to Edward Maurina for his brilliant multi-touch code which formed the basis of DroneSwarm's touch scripts before it was even integrated into iT2D officially.
Thanks to Raymond Delia for testing and encouragement and Johnny Vo for constantly asking me when the game's coming out.
Lastly, thanks to the Torque IRC champions; Ronny Bangsund, who taught me everything I know about Objective C (all of which I have already forgotten) and Paul Jan, who walked through installing his iT2D viewcontroller resource with me on IRC and got my game working on iPad 3.

That's fantastic Conor! I've just download it, surprised to see it at £0.69? Good luck with sales and I really hope it barrels up the charts for you!

Scott - I've dropped it to tier 1 to try to get into the charts before Christmas. The regular price is US$2.99 (tier 3).

Ronny - actually the file size could have been much smaller if I'd used compressed audio. I just went with .wav files for the music cos I was lazy.Scott - I've dropped it to tier 1 to try to get into the charts before Christmas. The regular price is US$2.99 (tier 3).

I think it's a smart strategy to drop price to try to get on the charts because the rankings will freeze.

It's finally out and it looks gorgeous. I'll definitely buy a copy tonight! Congrats on the big release! That's great that it's featured by Apple! I think it's a smart strategy to drop price to try to get on the charts because the rankings will freeze.

I see you got into New and Noteworthy in New Zeland and Australia, way to go! I hope you can get some of that action in the US market too ;)
