Learning my way around the terrain system

Working on terrain system mods. Not there yet, but getting there. (shown is at max settings)

The mod uses the detail channel as a tiling diffuse with detail in a normal map. Having a real problem with mipmapping. It looks pretty bad without anisotropic.

Are you going to be releasing this mod as a resource? I ask because I'm wondering whether I should even bother with the Torque terrain system at all. I'm thinking of just sculpting / modeling / texture painting my terrain instead.

I can roll it into a resource. It's kind of hack-ish, so I hadn't thought about it. I'll drop a virgin 1.2 on my laptop and see if I can pull together all the patches.

It breaks the detail channel for terrains so it can't be used as intended, but with the TGEA like texturing I don't see that as much of a problem.
