my game is only using one processor.

So I'm doing some testing of my game on a friends PC and it is only using one one processor of a quad core, thus making the game lag, a lot.
The odd thing is it running fine on my sucky dual core 2.26 GHz mac.

does anyone out there in garage games land know how to fix this?
