Object ID Question

I have set up a behvaior that checks a %dstObject's ID onCollision. This %dstObject, has already had it's ID checked in another behavior, attached to a different object. My question is that I get two different ID's returned. Why is that? Should that not be the case?
///dstObject is $chipNumber1 %dstObjectID 1218 $chipNumber1 1444
