the one listed in the docs section(http://www.garagegames.com/documentation/artist) is an outdated version, and the website of Chris Robertson seems to have disappeared, even the one in Eb's big hole is the old one.
Could somebody upload a copy of the 2.8.4 exporter to somewhere please :)

Not exactly certain which version it is....that you get with the download, but I think it is definitely not the 'latest'.
Now, to which is the actual 'latest'/most current build. I could not find where the build 2.8.4 is listed as latest?
'My' most current version I utilize is listed in my vaults as 2.8.2. It is of a different size than that which you get with the linked download.
So, we need a bit of 'Artistic Directorial' from GG to clarify at this point where the exporter build stands.

@rex i think chris must have made some minor alterations that didnt get noted, i'm sure the 2.8.2 was listed but mine was 2.8.2, the version listed at GG is 2.7.x so not horridly out of date.
As far as GG is concerned tho, i dont think any exporter is an official torque exporter? I do admit however that i'd feel a lot happier if there were official GG exporters, and by that i mean even if somebody else write it, GG should hold/supply the code to engine users.

I chose to remove the 283 file and the older version as well.

:/ You're the first to make a complaint in over 2 years of me helping the community with backing up publicly available files to a public general location. I chose to remove the 283 file and the older version as well.

Just so there's no confusion, I talked to Chris about this during a contractor meeting a little bit ago and he doesn't care about the exporter being rehosted on other public servers and in fact encourages it. It'll likely get rolled into our own repo anyway if any of us ever have the spare time to do it.

Quite right Scott. If you ask Chris he's happy to let you host his exporter. I did. Just taking things is a bit different.

I think you may have misinterpreted my point, or I didn't word it clearly enough. The point was Chris doesn't care one way or the other and sees this as a non-issue, as do I, especially since it needs to be rolled into the repo anyway.

Digital Dave, do you have any connection to Chris besides hosting his exporter ? ..because if not, I am going to put those files back.

@eb - We talked to Chris via voice chat and he is fine with the hosting.

- I had planned to ask Chris the next time we posted on a thread..I saw no sense in emailing over this.
// btw, that public resource serves an average BW of 5GB a month.
