Yeah, seems the download package has been misnamed, or something. In fact, it seems the demo and the purchased product link to the same download. Hope they sort this out soon.

We are indeed working on getting it sorted.

@Georg
Just for future reference, contacting support via the Contact Us page or directly via support@garagegames.com is the best way to contact support. The Paid Support form is for support that the end user would pay for, and that form goes to a single point of contact. The other methods go to everyone on the support team.

Please bear with us everyone. We'll have it back up as soon as we can. When I get word from our web dev that he's fixed and I confirm it I'll update this thread that it's fixed.

I have sent a message via support@garagegames.com and haven't received a reply whether I can receive the source as well because I purchased just days before the price drop.

@Scott

Any updates yet? Is there at least an ETA?

I don't have an update yet. Our web dev was still recuperating from the site push yesterday. This is at the top of his list of tasks right now. As soon as I receive any word on it I'll let you guys know.

@All - Can you try something for me? Try these steps and let me know where the process breaks down

1. Click on Account->My Products
2. Locate your engine in the list, click on download
3. When the list of downloads appear, RIGHT CLICK on the link to the version you wish to obtain.
4. Firefox Users click on "Save Link As...". Internet Explorer users click on "Save target As..."
5. A download dialog pops up allowing you to save an .exe or .zip of the engine to a location on your hard drive. Click 'OK' or 'Accept'
6. Wait for download to finish, then run installer.

Where did the above steps stop working for you?

@Michael

I done what you said and nothing breaks down or stops or any of that. It is just the installer that I am downloading is the binary version not the source version and every version I try downloading I keep getting the binary version of it.

@Sam
Did you actually purchase the source code version recently? All I see on your account is a T2D Binary purchase from 2008. So if you haven't purchased the source code version then you won't get access to that download.

@Scott

I'm having the same problem. I downloaded the recent version and didn't get the source code available at all. It's not that big of a deal since I intend to use my own code for projects, but still I'm curious as to why it wasn't included.

@Scott

I tried purchasing on this account and it wouldn't let me even add it to my cart so I had to make a new account and purchase it, here is the receipt number: Purchase Transaction #47003

Same thing happens to me. I can download it but I do not get the source. I purchased it Friday morning 1/21/2011.

Same with me.
Bought Torque 2D on 01/21/2011 (2:23 pm) for $99.
I download the "Torque Game Builder 1.7.5 - Win" package (39 MB).
It downloads as Torque_Game_Builder-1.7.5-Win.exe.
I install it and find out it is a binary only package.

For what it is worth, I don't have this problem with Torque 3D, which I also bought.

The problem isn't the downloads, its the version that was added to the cart at the time of purchase. For some reason the buy button is adding Torque 2D to the cart instead of Torque 2D Pro. So the downloads are technically correct. We'll get it sorted out.

You can add me to the list of "where is the source?" users too.
