Myself and Pascal are flying into Portland on the 8th, then travelling down by train. We'll be in portland around 2pm, so if youre going down to eugene around that time, let us know!

I am booking flights this week, was going to ask about the distance between Portland and Eugene...

Here are my Arrival options for 10/8:
11:03A, 12:31P, 1:08P, 1:24P, 2:08P, 5:07P, 6:19P, 9:22P, 8:48P, 10:56P

anyone arriving in Portland at those times? willing to toss in $ for a rental.. or I can get the rental etc..

What about hotel rooms? anyone care to split a room? go true Indie?

-Ron

@Phil,

I can take the flight that would get me into Portland around 1:24P and meet up with you chaps, how much does the train ride cost? would be a hell of a lot cheaper then renting a car :)

My friend and I will be driving up from Sacramento early Thursday morning and leaving sometime Sunday afternoon/evening. I don't mind playing taxi for people if they need a lift from the airport or to the convention. Be warned though. I have a Mini Cooper and 4 people is the absolute max that thing can hold, and that's with basically no luggage!

I might need a ride from Portland to Eugene on Thursday (10/9). I will be arriving at 8:18 PM but I am willing to wait around for a while if needed. Anyone got room?

Matthew,

I won't be up there, but if you can't find anything, you can always try the train

Also, Pascal and Phil are giving a presentation at PAGDIG. You could try subscribing to the group mailing list and seeing if any of the Portland area crew is coming down and could possible give you a ride.

Thanks for the info Joe =)

Updated info...called the airline again and got a much more informative person. I would be arriving at 10:30 PM instead of the 8:30 PM the guy before grunted out. So unless I crash in Portland for the night the train is out. I might be able to swing a car rental though if no one else will be in the area.

I'm driving down Saturday in a van from Seattle if anyone is interested in hitching a ride.

Hi James,
I'm driving in from Seattle too, on Friday afternoon. I'll be coming back up on Sunday night or Monday morning. I'll be taking my wife's car, as I am staying in Eugene at a friend's house which is somewhat far from the conference. If you or anyone else wants to carpool with me that would be great!
