How to load AdamPack in Maya 2010?

I purchased the AdamPack and would like to open it up in Maya to tweek the animation curves. The problem is that the files were created in 3ds max. I’ve used FBX Converter to convert the *.3ds file to *.fbx which I can then load into Maya 2010 however the animation do not get converted. All I get is a static textured mesh.
How can I import the animation data into Maya?

How do I convert the animated 3ds files (or dts files) into the Collada format? I don't have access to 3ds max so I can't export the model myself.

*.dts files include animation data but I don't know how they can be converted into any other format.

3ds files can be converted into DAE after you import them into your modelling application and then export them as DAE(if your modeling application supports COLLADA). But as far as I know *.3ds files don't include animation data. *.dts files include animation data but I don't know how they can be converted into any other format.
