Help resolve this please

The first Image is in Show Tool:
Only the cannon and the sides have been textured.

The second Image is in TGEA:
Showing the difference when full texture is applied ( including textured wheels on the right )

The third Image is in 3ds Max:
This is the render of the same object, without a whine window pop-up, it simply renders.

There is one screenshot I am missing that I cannot duplicate again this morning.
That would be the screenshot of the same object as the first Picture shown in Show Tool except only (1) of the wheels would show on export and show in TGEA ( without texture on the wheels ).
What has me confused:
The cannon will export to TGEA intact without textures applied to the wheels.
It will export without error and be seen in Show Tool.
The cannon will export to Show Tool and TGEA with just (1) wheel if I remove the Donut and replace it with a Cylinder in 3ds Max 2010
The Pictures above are a simplified version of this cannon. I have made a more detailed version complete as might be seen on a Ship of the Line ( full 16th Century battleship with 4 gun decks, just to clarify ).
However I didn't include pictures here for it because anything added to this base onwards just doesn't export at all whether it's textured or not.
I made every effort I can imagine to fix this, but being as I am still learning the ropes with 3ds Max, and I am not sure how to classify the problem for a Forum search or Google search, I came here for some guidance.
If you've experienced this or just are good enough to avoid this problem to start with, I'd appreciate some advice or a kick in the right direction.

*edit: Possibly discovering the error: I have reset the Schematic tree to have each item linked direct to Start01 individually, instead of indirectly (which made more sense to me to look at it but more condensed).
I had something called detail-1, detail2, detail3, detail4, detail1 (in that order).
I removed detail-1, detail3, detail4, detail1 from the schematic (they were auto generated from the exporter).
Now what I can get into Show Tool, is 1 of each of the parts that I clone > Copy, but none of the Parts I made individually but didn't need a second item like it.
Think my brain got a new wrinkle.

Your brilliance has shown me how this should be done.
I intend to use the corrected schematic as a guide for everything else.
