Cinema4D UV problem

Hi there.
We just started working with Torque3D.
I exported an object from c4d with a material on it and saved it as collada-file. The import of the object in T3D works fine, but the UVs are not correct. Is there a possibility to rotate and scale the uv or material in the world editor or is this a problem with the Cinema4D collada exporter?

In my T3D scene, i inserted the collada file with its materials, but the UVs are scaled up and rotated randomly in different directions so it does not look very nice in my scene.

Hi Chris. I created a building and scaled the UVs of the roof in Cinema4D down so it fits my mesh perfectly. Then, I exported the object as collada-file.In my T3D scene, i inserted the collada file with its materials, but the UVs are scaled up and rotated randomly in different directions so it does not look very nice in my scene.

Are you able to send me a model that displays this behaviour? I will take a look and see if the T3D importer is doing something wrong.

I have just encountered another model with seemingly random UV mapping. The cause turned out to be a collada exporter (possibly Lightwave) that was violating the spec and generating non-unique IDs.
I have modified the T3D collada loader to work around this issue, but would still be interested to see if the problem with your model has the same cause.

I will check out if there are the same problems with some of my other meshes and reply soon.

Hi Chris. Thanks for reply. I worked on my model and changed the UVs. Now, it is working, but the colors of my textures are not displayed correctly on the mesh. The texture seems to be white in the world editor.I will check out if there are the same problems with some of my other meshes and reply soon.

Ratzshaaf - we're about to start using Cinema 4D - have you managed to get around these problems recently?

It works fine with tiling materials, but if i use more complex meshes, T3D does not load all of them.
I baked 22 textures á 4096*4096 for 27 different meshes in my collada file. I exported it in Cinema4D with a scale of 1. The materials.cs file seems to be correct.
T3D loads the first 6 textures, but does not create the materials for the other meshes. I tried to create the materials by my own, but it does not update my materials.
How can I fix this problem?

Ok, I worked on my meshes and with the T3D alpha, the UVs are correct. It works fine with tiling materials, but if i use more complex meshes, T3D does not load all of them.
