Different stage data in different passes on the same Material?

Hey guys,

I'm doing some post processing on a material's diffuse texture when the stages are set up. However, I don't need this post processing done in passes like shadow passes or pre-pass. How can I set up a material that sets its stage data up differently depending on the pass it is set up for?

Any leads or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
