Unearthly Challenge 2009 Entries

The Torque team is sponsoring the Unearthly Challenge game art contest. We will be giving away several copies of Torque 3D, both as a sponsor of the challenge as well as through a giveaway on our site. Read Derek Bronson's blog for more details.

Although we want to see a lot of individual blog posts, entrants can also feel free to post their Unearthly Challenge pictures here, so we can keep a running list of everyone involved in the project.

Hope to see some great environments coming from the community soon!

We were able to put a little more together today..
Hopefully will complete this scene before our time runs out.. Nov.16th will be here very soon..

Im losing my mind.. post disappeared.

We were able to get a little more completed today..

well good work i have finish at time i will present you the final 2 shots and tomorrow i will put some more imges of the making and the texture size etc i hope you will like my work .

i love to leave the shot piece as it it no retouches no sharp no nothing in photoshop play as it is form torque 3d what a cool game engine i reocmend you all to use it .

please to apppreciate well the details save it in your desktop and open with quick time viewer the size is 1100 for less something enjoy my work!

Weird, so I don't know about anyone else, but I can only get page three of this thread to show up by going to the link on my email, its like the thread never accepted that there is a page 3...

anyway, finished the Obelisk, once I start work on the city I'll begin bringing all this stuff into T3D!

Can anyone else see past post#40 on Page 2..
Ive posted a couple times and noticed a couple more people have posted based on the last post time listed, but cant see a third page listed???

@Dustin: Yeah I can, I was told in the Site Feedback section that we can't see page 3 properly because so many people have deleted posts instead of editing them, that we don't have enough posts for the thread to realize that page 3 is there (not sure if that makes sense).

i have made it all in 3d max exporting to collada after i put all in torque 3d inside and take the image capture , the two of those and the image that i will go first is the one that is far away the throne

@smiljan: I know you have 229,000 polys, but isn't the requirement to be under 250,000 tris? Whats your tri number when you make that appear in 3ds max?

GUys when the torque winner will be anounced i have made another entry with udk and i told you guys i have wiorked with this two engines torque an dudk and i prefer torque its more easy but torque have to make some changes like cloning mirror , some material like has 3 dmax for example array and include and exclud elight from objects and some system like has UDK called light mas that has global ilumination and some good particle sistme if torque has that will be a big headake for the developers of udk i told you but really i prefer torque it has soft nice edges i love that in torque uDK been a engine that cost thousands of dollar dont represent nice edges and torque does i will post my udk images here and i have talk with derek here and he wants to me to do the scene i have made in udk with toprorque to see he diference so when the torque participant will be anounced nice to have the license to do games because i wnat to make a really kool game in torque and participate and help torque community in wherever thye need cheerrs

guys i just wnat to help torque and in my opinion if you wnat to torque knock out the other engines you must compile all in one package i mean i need to buy separately GMK and a lot of all like plugins for torque why not unify all this great features in one package that will be more comfortable for people to buy it becuase for example if i buy torque i know i will need ot buy GMK and etc and peopel get oured with this kind of things , so put all the tings together and i tell you peopel wont need UDK if you put some specialskin material for instance , the thing i wa stelling to do like a cloning array you did it after i told you i dont know if that is coincidence but there is a lot lot of thing you can put in torque and get a very good release with all taht stop doing things separately that anoying for peopel who wnat to buy torque i mean it torque is greta i love it but if you think im right , and im thinking of new more features tprque can have and if you do that your engine will be amazing cheers all!
