OpenTNL Status?

Checking in again. Brett Seyler mentioned in this thread awhile back that we may see OpenTNL supported on GarageGames itself rather than the ancient and obviously defunct OpenTNL website.
I've been happily tinkering with the old 1.5.0 code all this time, but am still curious if we'll ever see an updated version? If this is still remotely true, how big are the changes, and what are they?
I'm just a hobbyist, so I don't have much of a notable vested interest in the tech. However, it's been sad to see such solid and awesome tech go so long without support, or at the very least a nod that it exists.

We do not currently have a timeline on TNL due to a number of other internal projects, but it is not dead.

The above linked thread in which Brett posted is over a year old, my own post 6 months, so it leaves one wondering. I'm curious if you guys would be willing to throw a link to an unsupported version (are you guys using git yet?)? I understand that this is a low priority project, the age of the 1.5.0 release says a lot.
Optimistic enthusiast hoping to play with a more modern (internally endorsed) version!

The version that is up on OpenTNL is the current release version (and, yes, I know it is old!). There is currently not access to the development version at this time.
