Recruiting for Xenocell

by Konrad Kiss · in Jobs · 09/12/2009 (2:12 pm) · 4 replies

Our project, Xenocell is looking for casual, non-paid help in the following fields:

- level builder (Torque 3D Pro license needed)

Your task will be creating levels for the game using our 3d assets based on the design docs and working with our lead designer.

- 2d concept artist

You will be creating concept art based on detailed characters of the game's main story line.

- 2d icons artist

Your task will be creating a number of simple, yet visually appealing icons using Photoshop or Gimp. We will provide you with samples of what we are looking for. We have about one quarter of the icons needed finished so far.

- composer

We need a number of ambient pieces that stay in the background not noticeably at all times.

The game we are working on is an online sci-fi rpg called Xenocell. You can find more info about the game amongst my blogs or at www.xenocell.com which may help you decide if you are interested.

We are looking for talented individuals without a serious professional portfolio who are willing to join our team for the experience - much like they would join a company for internship. Again, these are non-paid positions. If your work is outstanding, we will offer you paid contract work soon enough to continue building the world of Xenocell with us. Also, we are open to buying Torque 3D licenses to our most dedicated team members, as we have already done so in the past. We value dedication and talent, not age, or an abundance of previous works. If you are starting out in game development, and you find yourself talented, this might prove to be a great opportunity for you. Your name and those you thank for helping you will appear in the credits of the game.

We can not offer royalty payments, and there is a possibility that you will not be contracted nor get a gift license for Torque 3D. We'd like you to join for the experience and fun, and to add a great game to your portfolio that's been developed for the last 1.5 years, and is about 2-3 months away from it's public release.

Please submit samples of your past works to jobs [at] bitgap [dot] com.

Thank you!

@kritine: Thank you, but we were looking for a game designer with a T3D license.

Our positions have been filled with only one exception; we are still looking for a 2d concept artist

Thanks again!

Interested in the game when:
As survivors of the crash, I am faced with greater challenge, surviving the hostile planet. Build a base with strong defense, collect resources and protect them from raids, fight as a lone wolf or join a clan, and climb over the military ranks for higher reputation. It will be a persistent world.
