This blog is a follow up of this blog.

Also for your convenience here is the how-to video again showing how to add the VolumetricFog object to your missions.
There will also be a forum dedicated to the Volumetric Fog object at my site and select Community from the menu on the left.
Thank you for reading this blog and I hope you will enjoy this new object for T3D.

History
First of all I like to thank everybody who was shown interest in this little side-project the Volumetric Fog object of me. I said little, but it turned out to be a much larger project than I thought it would be. But now I feel I have to let it go and give it to the community. Yes, you read it right! I give it to the community. It is released under the MIT license, so all will be free. However, donations are very much appreciated if you find this stuff useful.So how do I get this thing?
I bet you all want to know this :P . Well, that would be very easy. Just go to this page, which is part of my website and click on the Download-button, which is located in the frame at the bottom of the page. For those of you who are feeling generous, I have included a Donate-button.
What must I do to get this working
Just download the .zip file using the link above, unzip everything to a folder and follow the instructions in the included Installation Guide. To get it all working you have to add and modify the source-code and rebuild your engine, but that should be pretty straight forward. Also included is a little manual which explains how to use the new VolumetricFog object, which can be found in the environment tab of the worldeditor.Also for your convenience here is the how-to video again showing how to add the VolumetricFog object to your missions.

I just tried it, works great. One request. Could you add an attenuation option so the fog will fade away as it gets further from the center of the fog volume? I find no matter what shape I try for the volume you can always see the edge of the fog very visibility from certain angles.

The problem is that the fog near the objects is not correct. Did I do something wrong?

EDIT: I forgot a ReflectorDesc in the datablock, that was causing the issue. Works fine now!

For those who got this working, can you please post your steps to get it going? I followed the install pdf to the T and it's giving me errors, and I'm using the 3.5 build direct from MIT download site. A fresh build, nothing changed except for the files required. Any help would be great. Thanks guys!

What errors are you getting? For it me I just merged the appropriate files and followed the instructions in the install document to make a few changes and then it worked.

Thank you guys.
@Nils: graag gedaan Nils.
@Daniel: Thanks for the support.
@thanasimos:
Glad you figured out what was wrong.
@Will:
Have you seen the mails I've send to you?
I am improving rendering part of the Volumetric Fog object, to better deal with overlapping and colliding Fog objects and to make it a little more efficient (at least I hope it will be), by taking the rendering part to the manager and try to add some attenuation as Andrew suggested. I'll keep you posted.

Anyone with ideas on why it is throwing this? and if so, how do I correct it? I am running on Windows 7, compiling with Visual Studio 2010 and have the Direct x SDK installed as well.
Any help would be awesome. I really want to get this up and going... if I can't compile a good version is there someone who would be kind enough to compile a default base engine compile for me of this to use? I don't have a game to add it to but do need at least a bare compiled copy to work with for my non gaming projects I do.
Thanks everyone for the help.

Thanks to richard via email, I got it to compile... but now I have a server issue when I add the item to the world.

Thanks for the hard work, and i will donate some thing, when I have some cash left. I dreamed about that fog, since I use T3D.
