If you liked the movie, your going to love this pack. Spacey, moody productions to allow your space game that truly nightmare-ish feel to it. Nearly a year in production, featuring dark, distant ambient moods for almost any kind of horror game. The sounds were inspired by the movie, which I love. Outside of these packs, I also have two more in the making and not quite ready for the public eye or ears just yet, but what I can tell you is that the next two packs are as follows:

www.myambientworld.com/news/cotd_logo.jpg
Church Of The Dead Ambient Journey - Around $24.95 - No release date but will be out sometime this year. Featuring Church-like moods and sounds, in WAV, OGG and MP3 formats. Coming soon...

And, my first ambient Refill for Reason 5. Yea, you read that right. This Refill will also be a WAV pack for ACID and other audio editors which don't use Reason/Record. I'm trying to bring the masses my audio packs in new formats.

My Ambient Refill Volume 1 - $49.95 - Coming 2011

Featuring WAV samples of wind, rain, and more. All nature sounds remasterered and true digital. This are NOT taken from the real world as sounds, but created inside the computer. Two version will be out, the one for Reason 5/Record 1.5 and the straight WAV format which will be better for those who use Audition, ACID or other WAV editor. Pick up both packs together for just $79.95 or either for $49.95. That's coming later this year. No release date has been set.

That's it for this issue. I'll try and post again around the 11th of March with another update for you all. Thanks for stopping in and reading. I hope you enjoyed it. If you have questions drop me a line anytime at dlstorminc@yahoo.com Thanks!

Nice work Will.. is there an air-raid / nuclear alert type siren in the alarms pack?

JulianR: Not this trip through. But I will make a note to add one in for the update. I'm planning on adding another 4-5 more alarms and sounds yet to the pack as a free update which I might make considering I still have a little time before the main release, Thanks for asking, if there is any other kinda alarm or siren sound you would like to see in it, please let me know and I'll try to add that in there as well. Oh and btw, all the sounds in the pack were digitally created, none were taken from real world which is an advantage I think.

Great. I'll be looking into your sounds in more detail and grab a few of your packs at some point - sounds are next on my list. Have you thought about doing a website with a pick and mix library, add it to your cart and sell each sound for $1.98, $2.98, etc based on length and quality? I guess it's a fair bit of work to do, but I'm sure it would show your sounds in detail with maybe an overlay on top with your copyright.

No .ogg? lol!

Hey - can you put together some sort of montage with brief samples? Sort of a preview for each pack - for the music at least.

Julian,

Yea, I'm thrown the idea around for those who wanted say just certain sounds to buy or download inplace of having to order a complete pack. I think your idea would make more since, based on the length and quality of the piece. I was thinking something like iTunes, basically all sounds say if the pack was $20 for the entire thing, base it like $2 a sound but you have a better price point there based on those two features of the piece.

Yeah, I'll def be looking into that more now that the site is getting more noticed. Thanks for that. If you have any others ideas, please let me know, I'm always open to ideas to help make the content better to access.

@Richard: I don't always include file formats for one reason or another. .ogg formats and .wav usually don't make since for some of the packs I offer that is why I offer them if the buyer really needs then, I'll give them a download of that format. I usually publish my formats in what I think the client is going to use most, but the option is always there, if they need a certain format in audio I'll give it to them after they bought, even if its months later.

Yeah working on that montage idea, just have to put it all together. I figure the site will change this year to make it easier for the people to check my work out. I'm slowly going that direction. You have a good idea there.

Thanks to you both for the ideas. If you have any more, I'm willing to hear em. Always looking for ways to expand out and get my stuff more noticed. Thanks!

I'm just kidding - I can convert between formats myself. I was just thinking that T3D natively supports .ogg and I believe the other engines do too.

As far as pricing, I'm good either route you take. $2 for each in a 10-pack that goes for $20, or length/quality based - both work for me. Thing is, if you make them $2.50 each or 10 for $20, you can sell to people in both categories of price point - those going for bare bones and those looking for package discounts.

Not to sound like I'm greedy, but you should be fairly compensated for your work.

I usually buy one sound with the length of 1 minute for 30$-50$ so the prices here are extremely awesome.
