Bitgap Games' THIS.. IS.. TORQUE! screenshot contest is over! Everyone who is a licensee of any Torque product can vote for a favorite entry until the 25th of November.
I'd like to express my thanks to everyone who has contributed art to this contest. My goal was to show everyone around what Torque is capable of, and I think that - in the very short time frame of the contest - you guys have managed to make some jaws drop.
I also want to apologize because the entire contest was on for only about five days. It was just not enough to prepare with an entry for many of you. I am confident that the success of this contest will pave a road to more contests in the future.
Thank you once again for all the entries.
Keep in mind that only your very first vote will be counted would you cast several votes. To review the prizes of the competition, please visit the contest thread.

Close to picking #20, but in the end I think #9 does it for me. Lighting and atmosphere is just great.
#23
It's a really well executed scene, where nothing looks out of place, and the lighting is spot on. Also, you only let me pick one :p.

#22. It makes me think so much about the Lord Of the Rings - The Fellowship movie. And boy did I love that one.

I have to vote for #10
7 and 9 both have a fantastic scene, just a shame 7 does not have the lighting and shadow impact you get with 9.
8 and 12 both show what can be done outside the "norm" and that you are never confined to FPS', RPGs and racing games with any of the Torque engines.
10, when I first saw it, really did impress me. A very good use of lighting, shadows and shaders, and shows even Torque can be an Unreal Engine beater in the right hands.

It's refreshing to see people using TGE/TGEA/T3D for things other than FPS', and very good looking things at that. It's difficult to choose between 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12.I have to vote for #10

I do think that #20 gives the most sense of being in a "real" environment, but #8 is the one that most intrigues me in terms of wanting to play that game, so #8 gets my vote.
#30
#7 gets my vote though. I'm a sucker for fantasy rpgs. But it looks good and looks like a fully functional game.

I don't know if upclose the scene wouldn't look so good, but judging only by the shots you gave us, I vote 20. Made me remember Uncharted 2, because of all the colors used. It is the only piece that seems to be not only interesting, but alive!
Scenes that I think are also of "retail game quality":
* 2 : created a convincing scenario with few objects
* 9 : amazing and inspiring atmosphere, feels like a real desert city
* 15: unfortunately the models are not very detailed, but the scene itself is very convincing!
* 16: Great house model, but simple scenario. Manages to be interesting anyway - I wonder if there is still someone inside!
* 21: best huge landscape I saw in Torque, specially the bottom part, unfortunately the textures look streched in some parts, taking away the atmosphere
* 22: outstanding use of vegetation and inspiring scenario!

There's three or four I think look really nice. But.. if I had to pick one, then #9 gets my vote. The actual pic is not the best, but you can tell the overall atmosphere and lighting is well done.

#1 even brought memories of my younger years watching He-Man on TV.
But to pick just one i would have to pick #20. The attention to detail is a huge plus there as mentioned before but also i look the look - not too realistic and not too cartoonish - it's appealing to the eye and different.

it's a really hard choice - lot's of good ones here and almos all of them caught my eye really quick either by quality of models, overall scene, attention to detail,etc.#1 even brought memories of my younger years watching He-Man on TV.
