nxIsoBuilder - the saga continues

Ah my patient purveyors of things isometric, I will not regale you with my tales of woe in the dark lands of wtfakia but state simply that yes... again... still... the iso builder is indeed alive and well.

I had some reservations about the future of T2D then again concerned that the new version of T2D would make the iso builder redundant (I have not been able to corner melv while brandishing a long knife to coerce the details out of him) - but I'm sure things will come to light as I get back into the swing of things.

I don't have my dev machines at hand at the moment so you will have to wait until the next blog to get some iso eye candy and progress reports as well as plans for the new T2D goodies to integrate (a dash of realtime networking anyone?).

Just thought I'd let the patient (oh so patient - what has it been 5 years???) iso heads know (both of you) that there is a light at the end of this tunnel and clear up some doubts as to the future of the IsoBuilder.

Of course GG peeps may jump in and tell me to stuff it as they have their own spanking new iso stuff thank you very much at which point I would probably create a standalone dedicated iso engine or whatnot as it is something close to my heart and it will be finished... oh yes... it will be... (yoda face)

ciao for now...

(ps: I'll try and keep my promise and post and update within a sane amount of time... like not... months... ;)

I'd be interested.. the RPG I'm still working on after 5 years *cough* could use some isometric goodness.

You're alive! Looking forward to seeing this released. It's been on my "buy" list for some time.

Great to see life on this.
And I hope that GG actually approaches you to officially incorporate it.

I'm expecting a successor to adress core requests and finally having iso rendering was one of the major requests with TGB for a long time.

I have built some archaic iso tools, but I would drop the cash for something polished and well integrated. Especially if it worked the A* pathfinding into it. Oh yeah!

looking forward to this, but how long do you realistically expect people to wait?
