Plan for Tyler Frans

Wow. I just looked at the date of my last plan. Yeesh, guess I need to do this more often.

So you're asking yourself "What's new in Bumpkinland?" Wellll ... we're fortunate enough to have Tim Hammock onboard this crazy Hillbilly train now. (Your John Deer hat and 'Bubba teeth' are in the mail, Tim. Heh.) I've assigned new tasks to the team and set our recent milestone for Jan 29th, so everyone's hard at work. Tim Clarke at Score! Music is nearing completion of our first track. TSRR is purring in the garage now, on jackstands ... but purring. ;)

As for me, I'm currently knee-deep in the design doc for TSRR. I just revamped it (streamlined) and posted it online. Makes easier referencing for the team. I should have a final draft by early next week.

My other task has been designing a test track for TSRR. I figured I'd take one of the 'worlds' and completely flesh it out art wise. All the terrain-liquid textures, cloud texture and skybox art for the 'Farmland world' are completed. It just needs to be assembled now on a terrain (already finished a grayscale map for one). The other worlds will come sequentially.

Structures will be up next on my art list, as well as all the 2D art for the GUI (Tim's new baby). I've been driving around the local industrial and historic downtown areas getting architectural ideas. Finally found a use for my digital camera other than letting my kids photograph each other's blurry faces. :) I can't wait to capture the old fountain shops, store fronts and greasy spoons in World Craft.

I'm really looking forward to the release of the TGE demo so we can dive into it. With any luck we'll be well into testing the Roadkill Rally mode by mid-next year. I got my fingers crossed. :) Well, that's all folks.

Peace and Chicken Grease,
