Skygen - New Online Tool for Terragen

by Brian Jansen · 06/12/2007 (6:36 am) · 3 comments

It's been a while since I've posted and this time it's not for a game really. I've been making skies because of boredom using Terragen and I always dreaded the part where I open each image one by one to convert them to .jpg. I've created an easy to use website that eliminates that step.

tkam.bjwaymods-media.com/

BJwayMods Skygen while still in beta is an easy to use web application that converts the images given to you by Terragen into .jpg files and it then writes the .dml making it into a ready to use sky. After all is done it will send the download link to your email.

When I beleive it is done with it's testing I'll probably release the source code as a resource. Any Comments and Suggestions would be great.

Seems like it would take longer to upload all the bmp's and wait for the download link then to just use a batch convertor like PSP and copy/paste a dml file and add your sky info..

just my thoughts...

It is meant mainly for those without PSP or slow computers. Not sure if it'll help others but it's helped me get things done faster.
