For months, I've been releasing bits of information about improvements to the upcoming Torque 2D MIT update. Today, I'm consolidating all the major improvements, changes, deprecations, and features into a high level list. This is the starting point for a series of blogs covering the biggest changes in detail.

This code represents a years work by myself (Joti Carroll) and Paul Gaze while working at QUT for the Cube project, an installation for a new building. We worked on a project called The Reef. After delivering the content QUT agreed to release all of the code generated by the project to the torque open source community.

This code has taken more than one rewrite to get my head around how it should operate. At the outset I created a monolithic design with little flexibility and more than one error in the code.

So I'm feeling really happy about all of this. There is only improvements to be added now. I'm ending my vacation soon so I'm trying to diligently knock out any defect I find as I'm doing my feature testing.

Hi folks, we have just released Winterleaf's forthcoming MMO Character Packs demo video reel for everyone to see. Our MMO Packs are very much still WIP while we perfect a few things but we intend to release a series of MMO Specific artwork through out 2013.
